ROAMING AROUND LAO, P.D.R: Visiting the Unvisited

PEOPLE’S ARMY HISTORY MUSEUM:

Some remains of the country’s history are preserved in this museum for past period of time. Mainly, the Museum contains the exhibit of weapons used by Lao soldiers and civilians during its revolutionary struggle from its inception since 1950 until Lao got its form as Peoples Democratic Republic.

Just ahead of Military Museum is a newly built Peoples Security Museum or a Police Museum of Lao. It houses some historical facts of Lao and other Police related incidents and accomplishments as cited in the country’s history particularly the heinous cases to which Lao Police forces have been accomplished. Notably, Lao P.D.R is one from among the remaining countries in the world that have a very least records of crimes and civil incidents. It is because Lao people are practicing a very courteous living and they are focused on rules rather than exceptions.

These two Museums are situated along Thanon Phonekheng, Ban Nonesangthor, Muang Saysettha, Vientiane, Laos

PHOUSI TEMPLE, Luang Prabang Province:

Phousie Temple is one among the many tourist destinations in Luang Prabang Province-the 3rd most preserved province in Asia. This is another center of worship of Budhism religion, the dominant religion in the country. Phousie temple is strategically located at the mount of Luang Prabang so people who are visiting the place has to take 400 and more steps upstairs.  The entrance stairway is at the Luang Prabang night market with some cost of fee for the entrance before reaching the top. Phousi Mountain where the temple is situated is the best place to see sunset and the overview of Luang Prabang Province.

THE HERMIT CAVE:

A unique manmade cave is another taste of attraction at Phousie Mountain that usually retours the people who are coming to see Budha in Phousie Temple. This cave is architected from the rock formation at the mount of Phousie which was believed to be a Budha’s design.
